I was thrilled to find Laura Muir’s original artwork, which she prints onto a thick, luxurious 80 lb paper. Her colors truly bring a sense of joy and work beautifully within the Hypatia Storyteller Journals.
This paper is especially lovely in that it has a slight protective coating, while still welcoming markers and pencil with ease. It’s also a wonderfully stable surface for collage.
Complimenting these joyous featured papers are two of my favorite: Hahnemühle Cotton Rag and Fabriano Tiziano Paper. You will fall in love with the colors, texture, and versatility and ease of working and writing on these beautiful acid free papers! The Hahnemühle paper is a 160 gsm, 45% cotton rag paper, textured on one side, smooth on the other, allowing you to show all of your inspirations off to the very best effect.
Fabriano Tiziano is made in Italy, acid free, and 160 gsm. This particular line of paper has a high cotton content, textured, highly lightfast, and an excellent surface for artists of all skill levels. Tiziano paper features a woven textured grain, and the high cotton content gives the Tiziano paper a soft feel, with a toothy texture, making it ideal for pastels, pencil, graphite, charcoal, and fountain pen. This paper can also be used for other numerous type of art techniques: crayon, gouache, light washes, ink, tempera, air brush, watercolor techniques, art prints, letterpress, silkscreen printing and lithography.In Full Bloom Storyteller Journal is handbound into a bright and beautiful fuchsia, eco- friendly natural leather. When desired or needed, “Leather CPR” (easily purchased through Amazon) can be massaged into the leather to restore its moisture and erase scratches.
